Devlog #7 - Prototype Feedback

Alright boys Guys5 is back and we have yet another update devlog that you have been wanting. Soooo, last week we had our first playtest and it went incredibly well thank you for asking. We managed to get a lot of useful feedback and suggestions regarding our game that we are already working on.

We were really happy with the core gameplay and player experience, the strong majority of the playtesters messed around with the combat and navigation for quite some time.

The one area that we will definitely have to work on is our camera, directional attacks and blocking. One of the biggest suggestions was to add dodge roll for our character which is already being worked on. Our player’s attack colliders are tied to our character's model rather than the main camera causing the player to miss certain attacks even when pointing at the enemies. We also want to implement the character model in the upcoming weeks so that we have her ready for the vertical slice. Our map will also be adjusted a bit. We will make the streets a lot narrower to allow our enemies to feel more overwhelming and challenging.

Before we wrap up, here’s a preview of the ground crack that Fran worked on over the past few days.

That's all that you need to know about this week's progress. See you next time.
